John Hayeck is a screenwriter and independent filmmaker based in Los Angeles.

He grew up in suburban Massachusetts and attended USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. John began his career as a Script Reader at Skydance Media. He’s evaluated scripts, novels, and comics for Lit Entertainment Group, The Austin Film Festival, and Rawson Thurber’s Bad Version, Inc.

From 2020-23, John was a Health and Safety freelancer on major film sets across the country. His credits include “Don’t Look Up,” “Killers of the Flower Moon,” and “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.”

In 2024, John premiered his first independent film - a teen comedy called “FAKE$.” The film screened at festivals across the United States, including the Independent Filmmakers’ Showcase and Kevin Smith’s SModcastle Film Festival.

John’s work is equal parts heartfelt and irreverent. He loves bulldogs and hates people that take themselves too seriously.
